Owned by the dynamic duo, Reggie and Nisha, this restaurant celebrates the rich and diverse flavors of Mumbai's street food, offering a menu that reflects their passion for authentic Indian cuisine.

Upon entering, you are instantly welcomed by a lively atmosphere, a hallmark of Mumbai's vibrant food scene. Reggie's is not just a place to eat; it's an experience that invites diners to explore a vast array of tastes. Following the ethos of serving what they enjoy at home, Reggie and Nisha craft each dish with precision and care. Their menu features an array of small plates, allowing you to indulge in multiple flavors at once. From a succulent fillet of sea bass enriched by a fragrant green herb paste and delicately wrapped in banana leaf, to crispy whitebait dusted with a subtle spice blend, every bite is a testament to their dedication to authenticity.

The restaurant also caters to individual spice preferences, providing a shaker of Reggie's special spice mix at each table. This thoughtful touch allows guests to personalize their dishes to suit their heat tolerance — a clear indication of their commitment to a warm and welcoming dining experience. The culinary journey continues with delightful offerings such as tender beef fry, dosa filled with spicy potatoes, and homemade naan bread that has been privileged with rave reviews from discerning patrons.

Customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Many patrons, like Jonathon String and Mark Fletcher, emphasize not just the quality and seasoning of the food but also the sincere hospitality extended by the owners. The charming duo ensures that every guest feels valued and informed. Nisha often shares insights into their dishes’ origins and suggests future menu items, such as traditional desserts and chai, further enhancing the dining experience.

But it’s not just the food that has guests enamored; the service is equally commendable. While some feedback noted a few logistical hiccups during busy periods, the warmth of the staff shines through, ensuring that even the most cramped scenarios feel inviting rather than rushed.

As the sun sets over Padstow, the views from Reggies complement the mouthwatering food, making it an ideal spot for both locals and travelers alike. Magnificent! The tastiest authentic Indian food in Cornwall. India is a huge country and its cuisine is as diverse as its languages or geography. There are hundreds of regional variations. Reggie's specialises in authentic Mumbai cooking. So, do not expect the typical high street curry house menu. Reggie and his wife Nisha serve exactly what they eat themselves at home. We had a selection of small plates - a fillet of sea bass with a fragrant green herb paste, cooked in a banana leaf, whitebait fresh and crisp with a subtle spice crust, a tender beef fry and a dosa, a pancake filled with spicy potatoes. Every dish came with dips or sauces, giving a vast range of flavours. As heat (spiciness) can be controversial, there is a shaker containing one of Reggie's spice mixes on the table so each diner can drive up the heat of their dishes to the level they prefer. This is Indian dining-out at its very best - thoughtful, welcoming, and delicious. The service was cheerful and friendly - Nisha came to explain the ethos of her restaurant, and we discussed the desserts, like shri khand and kulfi, that we were promised would be on the menu in the future. And, of course, the Mumbai speciality, chai. Reggie and Nisha, we wish you every success, you certainly deserve it.

This used to be the Mussel Box, so please ignore reviews to do with what it was. Reggie's has only been open 1 Month from this review (April 2024). The owner has now changed it to Reggie's (Indian Street Food), and what a positive change for a place in Cornwall that already has far too many grills and fish restaurants! This Indian Food is absolutely top notch, and really really affordable too, and this is coming from someone from the Midlands where good authentic Indian Food is plenty available. The owner imports most of his food ingredients from family and friends in Mumbai, so the name of the restaurant is not just for show. I'm a little stunned with some negative reviews, but I guess for some people if Indian food isn't a fireball then they just think it's a microwave meal. Such a shame for them, as Indian food is much more delicate and delicious than that, and this place definitely hits those notes. The food has proper depth in taste from delicate spices, and you can get all the notes of texture too. It's not like so many Indian Restaurants which are just a ton of Sugar, Butter and Salt. The meats particularly are well prepared too. Great views of the Harbour, and friendly staff. The only thing that took some getting used to was ordering via the Online Menu from the QR Code within the menu, so person-less ordering and payment. The service of food is dead fast though! Let's hope they start delivery for their take-away service! As it's easily the best tasting Indian food in North Mid Cornwall! Lamb Karahi, Afghan Chicken both with Rice, Clay Oven Naan, Bombay Potato and x2 Half Pint of Lager for £46. Well done to the Reggie's team for spicing up Cornwall!

This was without doubt the finest Indian food we have ever experienced. The flavours were outstanding. I highly recommend visiting this if you're someone who wants more than a standard curry night. We'll be back!

Absolutely delicious food and lovely owner / waitress, unfortunately there was a long wait for food as all staff were completely absorbed sorting take away orders and a steady stream of people next to our table waiting for their takeaways. This was sadly not very relaxing. Please give people visiting your restaurant more attention and perhaps do your takeaway orders through a side door!

Visited with 6 friends without reservation & the waitress made great effort to squeeze us in to service and kept us informed throughout . At a guess I’d say we had 10 separate dishes and everyone said their meal was exceptional. I had the most succulent mussels and belly pork . Our visit was the highlight of our stay in Cornwall all the more special as it was completely unplanned. Go yourself and give it a try they deserve your custom !
